Michelle Lappas
Managing Director, High School Programs
Michelle comes to us from the City of Stamford where she served as the Mayor's Youth Employment Program Coordinator for 16 years. There she built an incredibly successful Mayors Youth Employment Program for the City. Michelle combines corporate human resources experience with more than 19 years of designing, scaling, and leading sustainable, high-impact youth employment, mentoring, and career development initiatives. She has a proven track record of building cross-sector partnerships, developing effective programs, and leading teams to achieve measurable results.
A Stamford resident for 27 years, Michelle lives in the community with her husband, Chris, and raised her two sons, Andrew and Nicholas, here in Stamford. She began her career with the City of Stamford 19 years ago, where she proudly served the community through the Mayor’s Youth Employment Program.
She is excited to join Future Five as Managing Director of High School, partnering with the team to help Stamford students achieve educational, career, and life success.
Full Circle for Selin!
Future 5 is excited to Welcome back Selin Aguarcio, a Future 5 Alum, as Community Service Coordinator. In this role, he will be responsible for overseeing Future 5's community service program, Helping Hands, which is designed to connect students to their community, explore their passions, and develop leadership skills. Selin is so happy to be back at Future 5 and is ready to jump in.
Marvin is off to College!
Marvin has transitioned to Managing Director of College and Career Success. He is looking forward to expanding our college success program and supporting Workforce Development. In addition, Marvin will be overseeing our Alum 5 program, ensuring that our network of over 1000 graduates remain connected to our mission.
Congratulations to John!
John has been promoted from College Prep Manager to Senior Manager of College Prep. In his new role, he will be overseeing the College Prep Team, working with our College Prep Coaches, to help students explore their options, navigate the college process, and serve as a consistent support and resource as they work toward their goals meeting each student where they are at.
Kudos to Oscar!
Oscar has been promoted to Senior Manager of Membership & Engagement. In this new role, he will oversee recruitment and orientation for new members as well monitoring active engagement for current members ensuring that all students take advantage all of Future 5's offerings.
Let's GO Alex!
Alex has been promoted to Senior Manager of High School Enrichment. This position is responsible for overseeing and scheduling all of our programming including community service, health and wellness and academic support. He will lead the programming team and ensure that all events are aligned with our mission.

With a background in college and career counseling, academic advising, and student support, she is excited to bring her experience into this next chapter at Future 5 as the College Prep Manager. During this transition, she will also continue to serve as a bridge for academic support until a new Academic Coordinator joins the Future 5 team.
